Proposing on-site repair work for existing wind turbines
Large-Scale Repair Work
We provide replacement work for large parts such as step-up gears and main bearings in wind power generation facilities. We can handle the sequence of tasks from providing parts to suit the customer's needs (such as providing new products and repairing faulty parts) to installation, shortening the time from ordering to installation.
Left: Performing gearbox replacement from down on the ground using the Liftra crane method. We take various measures down on the ground to minimize the work yard.
Right: Replacing an old main bearing with a new one using the Liftra crane method.
Medium-Scale Repair Work
In addition to replacing large components using heavy machinery, we can also repair large components such as step-up gears and generators inside the nacelles.
Based on the data and experience we have accumulated through many years of wind turbine maintenance and inspections, we also carry out flushing of main shaft bearings and replacement of bearings inside step-up gears, and of high-speed shafts.
Note: Main bearing flushing is a process conducted to remove wear debris (iron particles) and foreign matter that has built up inside the main bearing, and maintain lubrication performance.
Left: Replacing a gearbox intermediate-speed gear on a nacelle.
Right: Replacing a gearbox high-speed shaft inside a nacelle.
Construction Using an Onboard Crane (Liftra Crane)
Since introducing onboard cranes in 2019, we have carried out a great many large-scale repair jobs. Using an onboard crane enables us minimize the yard for large-part replacement work. In addition, the benefits of using an onboard crane can be felt all the more at sites with limited space where the idea of making repairs had previously been given up on due to the high cost of creating a yard for the work.
