Harnessing the Wind to Grow Together with Local Communities
Wind turbines with a capacity exceeding 1.1 billion kW are being installed worldwide (as of 2024, according to the IEA).
Meanwhile, Japan's total power generation capacity, including thermal, nuclear, hydroelectric, and renewable energy power plants, is around 300 million kW (as of the end of FY 2023)—a figure that is dwarfed by the scale on which wind turbines are being adopted worldwide.
Keeping such a vast number of wind turbines running uninterrupted would not just be highly valuable from a business perspective, it would also bring significant benefits for the global environment and energy self-sufficiency, making it a truly meaningful endeavor.
At the same time, there are so many people working in wind power O&M all over the world, and when I think about the work they each do, I feel like it has to do with me personally, and am filled with admiration for them.
At Eos Engineering & Service, we want to ensure that wind turbines all over Japan keep turning vigorously for longer, and carry out our work every day with this thought in mind. The moment when a wind turbine that has been shut down due to a fault is brought back into operation by our own hands, we feel a sense of joy and accomplishment. Seeing the wind turbines in our own communities turning—that is what motivates us. I believe that people doing the same work all around the world feel that way too.
For the sake of our communities and to give new value to the wind, we will go on devoting ourselves to our work every day.
