GWO (Global Wind Organisation) was established in 2012 by several wind turbine manufacturers and operators. It is intended to provide a safe and productive working environment for wind turbine management.
GWO official websiteAbout us
At the EES Training Center, highly realistic training using actual wind turbines is provided by experienced wind turbine work instructors.

Available modules
BST (Basic Safety Training) 5 modules
The purpose of Basic Safety Training (BST) as defined by the International Wind Organization (GWO) is to recognize how to control and mitigate hazards encountered when working inside wind turbines. It also provides participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond appropriately in the event of an emergency, and to learn the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and emergency equipment to enhance safety. The EES Training Center employs actual wind turbine equipment in practical exercises, making the training realistic and easy for participants to visualize their respective workplaces.

ART (Advanced Rescue Training) 4 modules
*If you take the Refresher course, Single Rescue will be excluded, and the contents of BST MH and WAH will be included and updated.
The training enables participants to perform rescue operations in wind turbine hubs, spinners, blades, nacelles, towers, and confined spaces using industry-standard rescue equipment, methods, and techniques that are more advanced than GWO BST high altitude rescue operations. At the EES Training Center, actual wind turbine equipment is used in the practical training, making it easy for participants to visualize their respective workplaces and providing a realistic training experience. Participants can learn what is necessary and how much skill is required for rescue operations, especially in the expanding offshore wind turbine environment.
You must have taken GWO BST FA, MH, and WAH, if you would like to take the ART.
*Includes a lot of practical training that requires a lot of physical strength, such as moving a 60 kg dummy doll or moving in a narrow space.
First training
- Hub, Spinner & Inside Blade Rescue: HSIBR
- Nacelle, Tower & Basement Rescue: NTBR
- Single Rescuer - Hub, Spinner & Inside Blade Rescue:SR HSIBR (Single Rescuer)
- Single Rescuer - Nacelle, Tower & Basement Rescue:SR NTBR (Single Rescuer)
Refresher training
- Hub, Spinner & Inside Blade Rescue: HSIBR
- Nacelle, Tower & Basement Rescue: NTBR
- Manual Handling(MH)
- Working at Height(WAH)
*The above two modules are also included in the training content and will be updated.

BTT (Basic Technical Training) 4 modules
*Construction: Installation is not provided
The objective of the GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) is to help participants acquire knowledge on avoidance, control and mitigation of hazards in mechanical, bolt tightening, electrical and hydraulic work at offshore and onshore wind farms, and through the guidance of skilled workers they can also gain knowledge and skills on basic operations, safe work procedures and the use of protective equipment.
*This training is not intended to train participants to work independently (in situations where they are not supervised).
The EES Training Center introduces actual wind turbines for practical training, making it easy for participants to visualize their respective workplaces and feel a sense of reality in their training.
Tuition fee
| GWO BTT4 module(Mechanical / Bolt Tightening / Electrical / Hydraulic) | *New 380,000 yen (excl. tax) per person |
Training period: 5 days *No refresher deadline |

EFA (Enhanced First Aid) 2 modules
*Students will receive training that includes elements of BST and FA.
EFA helps students develop more practical first aid knowledge, skills, and ways to act so they can support and treat people working in the windmill industry. Upon completion, students will have been trained to be able to use advanced emergency equipment and telemedicine to provide safe and effective first aid and advanced first aid to save lives and provide support remotely. (From GWO Training Standards)
At the EES Training Center, actual wind turbines are used to make the training experience more realistic and high-quality.
*During training, students will also learn about things that fall under "medical practices" that are prohibited from being practiced by the general public in Japan. It does not allow any student to practice medicine.

SLS (Slinger Signaller) Individual module
In addition, students will be trained so they can support and treat themselves and other workers. It will also help ensure that they have the necessary knowledge, skills, and competence to perform the tasks assigned to them safely and efficiently while signaling for slinging and crane operations in the wind industry.
*Completing this training course does not mean that students have completed the "Slinging Skills Training Course."
